Pedals
Here are some of the pedals that Tom Dumont used in the studio,
live or just for fun. Click to see a large pic, see the info
about and click at sound to hear a demo of the effect.
Dunlop Cry Baby Wah Pedal:
This is a Wah
Wah Pedal made by JimDunlop called "Cry Baby". This
pedal is famous cause it was used by Eric Clapton, Jimy Hendrix,
and many others.
Specifications:
Heavy die cast construction for years of reliability, 100k ohm
Hot Potz potentiometer that allows for that quick, abrupt wah
sound. Powered by the Dunlop ECB-03 AC Adapter and/or 9 volt
battery. \par 10" x 4" x 2-1/2" 3.7 lbs. Black
MXR Phase 100:
This is MXR pedal made by JimDunlop too. This is the larger sibling of the Phase 90 and offers a broader range of sounds in a larger unit. In addition to a speed control there is also a four position, rotary switch that allows a choice of four different intensities. The Phase 90 sound lies somewhere in the central two settings with the extremes offering softer and harder versions of the effect. Within these two controls you will find quite a supply of excellent sounds tucked away in this orange casing. The Phase-100 has ten stages of programmable phase shifting, adjustable intensity for sweep width and notch depth. Controls also provide for regeneration in 2nd and 4th position.
Specifications:
Speed and Intensity foot control knobs. LED on/off indicator. Powered by the Dunlop ECB-03 AC Adapter and/or 9 volt battery. \par 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" x 1-1/4" 1.8 lbs.Orange
MXR blue box:
This is another MXR pedal made by JimDunlop. This unassuming little box shovels out enough low frequencies to frighten a blue whale. It takes your guitar signal, fuzzes it up, then duplicates it two octaves down. You can control the output and also the mix between the dry signal and the effect. Using it 100% wet is quite an experience, but more recognizable sounds will appear as the dry signal increases. The Blue Box is known for having a somewhat chaotic persona that can make each session of use a totally unique experience as this little monster can make it difficult to guess what is about to emerge from your amp.
Specifications:
ECB-02 AC Adapter and/or 9 volt battery. \par 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" x 1-1/4" 0.9 lbs. Blue
Dunlop Tremolo pedal:
Another JimDunlop Pedal. TVP-1 Tremolo Volume Plus. The TVP-1 is a two-in-one rocker pedal that incorporates both the Tremolo and a Studio Volume Controller. Key features of the Tremolo include: Two styles of Tremolo, both sine and trapezoidal envelopes. Foot pedal controlled variable speed. Effect intensity control knob. Quiet on/off switching with hi-rel hardware. Key features of the Studio Volume Controller include: Active volume pedal with up to 6db boost. Adjustable attenuation of signal. Toe down adjustment from 0db to +6db. Heel down adjustment from 0db to off. On/Off full bypass mode.
Specifications:
ECB-03 AC Adapter and/or 9 volt battery.
