Jason Newsted
Bass Guitar
Jason started playing bass guitar at the age of 15,
but gave it up for 5 years before starting to play seriously.
With his band Flotsam and Jetsam he played clubs and concerts
when he was asked to come to an audition for Metallica,
who were looking for a replacement for the deceased Cliff Burton.
Soon later the band released "Garage Days Re-Revisited" with Jason on bass guitar.
