At: Ricks Place, Denton
With: Brave Combo, Muddrunner
People there: about 50
This show was good. Other than the fact that the soundguy was a jerk, and
they made us play at 9:30 and cut our set to 25min. it would have been
perfect, and oh yeah, we had to set the drums up in front of the drumriser
because its Brave Combos show and you guys are just lucky to be
opening---Coy the jerk soundguy. But so we played before anyone really
showed up, and we played a great show, people seemed to like it, and we had
a good time, and we had to hang around for a couple hours to pick up our
pay
Yes, we actually got paid
$50
but considering the cover was $10 a
person, I guess they could afford to pay us $50. Then we went to Dustins
house and had a party and some moron threw a tequila bottle through Bens
girlfriends back window. Then the party was over

Our practice Pad
With: Where's Arnie, Eniac, Park Legend
People there: 50-60
Ok, this show was supposed to be at Green Means Go, but we showed up to
find out that the fire marshall had shut the place down the night before, so we no longer
had a place to play. But Where's Arnie was already there too, so we decided that instead
of going home and playing playstation, we would just have our friends and Where's Arnies
friends come over to our studio and have a SMALL show
Just us and where's arnie.
(P.S. we really wouldn't have had the show at our studio normally because there is a lot
of really expensive equipment there that doesn't belong to us, but we're getting kicked
out of it because the cock-rockers got pissed off at the hippies and decided that the best
solution would be to kick out the pop-punkers (does that make any sense to you?)) because
we arent serious enough musicians (the hippies to Josh "we used to play music like
you guys, but then we grew up and learned how to play our instruments"
(sidenote
I grew up with those fools in Wichita Falls, and they've always played that
hippy blues jam crap) ) and we don't pay enough rent. Anyway, so we decided to go ahead
and have it, because we just didn't really care if they got pissed off at us or not.
Anyway, so people start showing up at the studio and all of a sudden, one of the other
bands that was supposed to play at GMG showed up and sked me very politely if they could
play
and while I really only wanted 2 bands to play, I couldn't tell them no, so they
were going to play after us. Then, I'm walking around trying to get people to donate to
"the cause" (our new practice pad fund) and I hit these three guys up and
they're like: "No, man, were playing tonight", and I said "who are
you?" "eniac," they respond well, that was the first that I had heard of
them playing there
.they were supposed to play at GMG, but we hadnt really
transferred the whole show over there, but apparently everyone thought we had
.so , I
said, alright
It would have been nice if they had asked though. Anyway, so the show
starts and Where's Arnie plays and kicks ass as usual, but they stole our intro from High
School
.we normally play the intro to Crazy Train into High School Girls, but they
used it for their first song, so we decided not to use it for ours..(they did it better
anyway). So, by the time it's our turn to play
we've broken our pact of show
sobriety, and josh isnt there (he had a show with sensitive image in dallas) so we go
ahead and play, but it sounds really bad, and we sound really bad. Anyway, as is his
custom, ben takes off his shirt and then his pants, and so does Dustin. And during the
breakdown in High School Girls, I run out from behind the drums and yank their undies
down
.and ben plays the rest of the set naked
dustin has the sense to pull his
shorts back up
then Bens girlfriend runs off with his clothes, so he spends the rest
of the night in nothing but his jacket and boxers. Then Josh gets there, and we play a
little better, but its still pretty bad. Then we're done. Then Park Legend play, and they
are really good, if your into Emo, which I am. Then Eniac plays, and they are good, too,
if your into Emo. About 2;15, the cops show up, and tell me that they have received a call
from somebody, complaining that there were minors drinking, which there were'nt, and he
tells me that if he has to come back out for any reason, hes going to start writing
tickets, and taking people (namely, me) to jail
so I let Eniac finish, and they play
Kiss the Bottle by Jawbreaker
.which was Awesome, then after everyone is done, almost
everyone leaves, and we were about to clean up and fix the place so that hopefully the
hippies and cock-rockers wont notice anything went on, when the guy from the denton
Volunteer fire department tells me that the silent alarm on the antique fire truck that is
sitting in front of our studio went off because someone had broken into and broken the
handle on the door
.IF THAT WAS YOU AND I FIND OUT WHO YOU ARE I WILL BREAK YOUR F'in
LEGS. So, rather than hang out for the cops to get there and haul me away, we go
over to Bens for the after party
.and everyone is throwing off a weird vibe
so
we go home. THE END

AT: Denton High School battle of the bands
With:a bunch of bands
People there:250 or so
This was a great show, people seemed to like it and we played fairly well we won second place. The whole thing was judged by legendary polka band Brave Combo. These guys are really talented musicians and it blew me away that they would give a bunch of punk kids like us 8 out of ten for musicianship they wrote so,me really nice things about us in the critique sheets, and offered us the chance to open for them on March 4th at Rick's (a venue we would probably never have played except for this) so we sold completely out of everything we had, cd's t-shirts, and stickers we only played 2 songs at first, but the top 3 bands got to play another 15 minute set, so we did. Setlist: High school girls/ Trensy Girls/Room 105/Ode to Female Rockstars/Jewish Punk Rock Girl/I hate Evrything about you

AT: American Legion, wichita falls
With:Ten Times Ten, Chillum, Dissolve, The Henry the Eighths, J.R. from Socially Retarded,
elemenohpee
People there:100
This was really cool
we played fairly well, but people really seemed to enjoy it, we
sold lots of stuff thanks to dustin walking around and pressuring people into buying
stuff. We sold out of c.d's and sold all but 5 shirts. I'm tired of talking about hpow
good 10(10) is, so from now on, I wont talk about them. Chillum was really good, somewhere
between 311, sublime, bob marley, etc. but they are really good. Henry the Eights kicked
ass again. Socially Retarded were supposed to play, but noone could do it except J.R. the
guitar player, so he came down and wrote 3 songs while each band was playing, then got up
and played them while the bands were seting up/tearing down
it was pretty
funny
he got really into and pulled out all of his rockstar moves and jumps and
leaps, etc. and he almost broke a microphone.
Elemenohpee is the band we share a studio with
.they played for a REALLY long time at
the start of the show
. They are a hippie jam band. Setlist:Room 105/Jewish Punk Rock

With:Ten Times Ten, Lucy Loves Schroeder, Orchid, Scumbag College

This show was horrible
being the 3rd show we played in an 18 hour period
we were
all really tired, and played horribly
.Mike couldn't hear, and neither could anyone
else, so all the songs ended in different places
we had all kinds of schtick planned,
but it all blew up in our faces
first, everyone was going to do a rockstar jump off
of the drum riser to start the first song, but everyone landed funny, and the song got off
to a rocky start to say the least. Then, we threw out marshmallows, but noone really ate
them, and we still had 4 bags left at the end. But we did throw out enough to get the
floor all nice and sticky. Then we threw out bouncy balls, you know, the kind you get at
walmart out of that big cage in the toy department. We expected everyone to throw them
back at us, but everyone just kept them. But
anyway, ten times ten kicked ass again, and so did lucy loves schroeder
we wrote the
song Ode to Female Rockstars about sara from LLS and Nako from Orchid
.they were both
very attractive.

With:Ten Times Ten and the Henry the Eighths
People there: 20
We werent even planning on playing this show, but the thrid band, the flatliners didn't
show up, so we played our set on Ten Times Ten's equipment, but then the cops showed up
and shut it down, so we only got about halfway through before having to quit. This was the
first time Josh fell asleep in a corner before we played. Ten Times Ten rocked (as always)
they are our evil twins
if we had grown up in broken homes and were angry, we'd be
just like them, but instead we were little spoiled brats that sing and play happy music
about girls. They sing about politics and cops and all kinds of societial
injustices
..but damn, they are good! The Henry the Eighths, from corpus christie are
awesome
.they barrage you with Romonesy punk
