Sorry, visitors and loyal guests that I am out of this page this week. The reason was a bunch of stuff I have to do on the Net: IE4, Braves, Whitney page. Plus, there is not really a lot Face news around.
So U know, unless there are big news to let you know, I will update this site once a week. Coming soon, a site channel that supports Internet Explorer 4.0. (To let you know when my site changes) I already has one on Whitney Houston IE4 page.
These are some news I read from the Ultimate Babyface news. (Great Source, I am highly recommending his site. He told me he is someone capable of getting news cause he got connections.) Well, at that part, I am losing, but soon I shall make this site rocking and Jamming.
Face appearantly not going to write & produce three songs for Jody Watley's upcoming January album. Said that Atlantic Records claims scheduling conflict to be the cause.
On Tuesday, Oct 7, Milestone's Jamm'ng single "I care about U" will have have a maxi-single. This will hopefully raising its chart postions.
Well. If you haven't purchased the Soundtrack, "Soulfood" yet. God know what are you thinking, this is a great album. If you are into Face, absolutly GET IT. Okay?
Here are the very UnCool Chart positions regarding SoulFood Soundtrack.
#20 Total - What about us? (Not by babyface)
#31 Milestone - I care....(this one is down bad)
Just an Info-Beat, with no surprises, Elton's tribute to Princess Diana. "Candle in the wind" is #1.
But on Top 100 albums, it's postion is still only #11.
That's the news for this week. See ya all next week. Go Braves! City of Atlanta! Go LAFACE!
Not a great start as I expected. Soul Food landed on the #7 position of the Billboard Top 20 R&B albums. Ten marks lower on the top 200. My reaction was Damn, you people got go buy that album. Do not wait, I mean, from my point of view it's far better than Mariah Carey' Butterfly, which holds a #1 poistion. I wonder how come! Then, I think I got the anwser. You have to look at all races. Black, Whites, Asians, Euros, Hispanics... Between a Pop album and R&B one. R&B loses in general. We will see if it CLIMBS UP or not next week. Until then....
Com on I get so sick about that. Oh Links in the Face Music Productions page are now updated. Some of the artists was not found by searh engine. I will look around for the links and there should be pages about them. It may take some time.
I thought they were going to talk about Soul Food the movie(which opens today), for most of the show. But, most of the show was great beautiful, smooth singing. I feel sorry you people never got this news. That's because I never knew about it either. Until today, I turned on the Tv to watch Oprah. There they are.
VANESSA WILLIAMS was the first guest to appear on the show. She and Oprah talked about the movie SOUL FOOD, her life, and marriage, etc. It was cool I thought because Vanessa is one of my favorites. I like her a lot but the REAL EXCITMENT came when BABYFACE, BOYIIMEN, and MILESTONE sing on the show.
Babyface had a totally different look. He wore a pair of glasses as he was introduced with wife Tracy. That pair of glasses looks pretty cool on him. OH MAN. Babyface and Tracy then talks about their new movie, and relationship etc. They brought their son Brandon along. LLet me tell you about Brandon, he looks like a VERY VERY CUTE BABYFACE himself. I think he is very very beatiful boy. Babyface and Tracy are very, very proud of their son. (Commercial Break)
After their chat with Oprah. BoyIIMen came on the show to sing their greatest hits. Babyface sat down and played the piano for them. If I remember correctly, the order of the songs are I'll make love to U, Water Runs Dry, and End of the Road. All of them were compsed and produced by Face. Seems like the audienced loved End of the Road most. Remember that one is the first BoyzIImen song produced by Babyface and it's success? (Commercial Break)
One of the best moment of the show now. BoyzIImen performed their latest single from the Soul Food soundtrack. "A song for mama". This song is of course. produced by Babyface. It's very toucy song, because the song is supposely a mother song, you know. Oprah introduced the groups' mothers, and they were very emotional and cried with joy as BoyIImen performed it. Tracy Edmonds, and Oprah seemed as emotional as well. Well, I love my MAMA is the message of the song. It's not like a man-woman lover song like others. (Commercial Break)
And remember, even if your mama is not supporting whatever you do. She still loves you, and brought you up to today. Give them your love back !!!
At last, which is the best moment of the show I think. Milestone sang their debut single of "I care about you". This group is really something. Their appearance made the whole audience jump and screaming. I care about you is a great song, and Tracy loves it. It's the same kind of sensual ballad that you expect to come from babyface. After they finished singing. Oprah said," IT's CRAZY !!!"
Milestone is a whole new group including babyface along with Kevon & Melvin from After 7, and K-CI & JoJo from Jodeci. Jodeci is a pretty popular R&B group, that most people heard of before.
Playboy conducted it's own music survey. Guess who are reader's favorite R&B male singer. Playboy property, this page contains no nudity. If you are under 18, do not go around anywhere else please.
Oh, for those of you who haven't yet heard the the greatet 'Soul Food' sountrack. Let me say it is a wonderful, and beautiful album. I believe it will be either #1 or #2 on the charts next week. Because many songs are done by the MAN himself, Babyface. 1, 2, 3....7 songs are done by Face. The album also include a rap song by Puffy Daddy . Get it now, if you don't want to wait for magic. The magic is a chance to win a FREE CD, only if you lucky of course.
By the way, you know what's Face and Tracy's favorite soul food. Ha, check this out. Also, the album order are added to the next section, 9/16 news for your interest.

Babyface is the Executive Producer of the upcoming film SOUL FOOD's soundtrack. He partners with his lovely wife, Tracey Edmonds in Edmonds Entertainment. The film stars singer, actress (No not my Whitney) Vanessa Williams. Vanessa is as quiet talented as Face and Nippy for good singing, good acting and modeling. She wass Miss USA, but had a problem however with playboy photos. That, sadly, took her crown away , but she never quit. I like her alot, she is one of my favorite singers. The film also staring the sexy, beautiful ID4 star Vivica A. Fox.
Well, Babyface, who has made remarkable pop/R&B history in less than 5 years. Now is he heading for Hollywood like Whitney Houston and Vanessa Williams? Don't tell me that because I die for his great music, he gotta produce music for us fans a long time. Ain't that right? But, I am very proud for Babyface if he chose to become an actor. As long as my Man still produces hit music.
Well, let's talk about the soundtrack from Soul Food. The album sounds gr8. My prediction is it's gonna be either #1 or #2 album on Billboard charts when it comes out TOMORROW. YES it's 9/16. The cast are: Monica & Usher, Puff Daddy & Lil Kim, Total, Xscape, Boyz II men, En Vogue, Dru Hill, Outcast, Blackstreeet, Tony Toni Tone and the one and only Milestone. (More links very soon, come back!)
Milestone is a whole new group including babyface along with Kevon & Melvin from After 7, and K-CI & JoJo from Jodeci. The single of the soundtrack from Milestone is already out. The name of the song is called "I care about you", and it is a great song. The same sensual ballad that you expect to come from babyface. It's a hit song already...Ummmm, I gave you it's position on the charts later this week.
He was recently honored with twelve Grammy Award nominations in 1997 (For the 1996 music year). He took away three big Grammys: Record of the Year for "Change the World"; R&B song of the year for "Exhale" (Shoop Shoop), by my favorite singer Whitney Houston. The song came from the nominated album "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack, and Producer of the Year.
