Hidden away on Victoria’s South West Coast, 20 km from Portland, Cape Bridgewater awaits to be discovered. Cape Bridgewater is full of natural treasures and contrasting landscapes such as the Big Cliff (Victoria’s highest sheer coastal cliff) and the Giant Sand Dunes of the Discovery Bay Coastal Park (Victoria’s largest moving dunes). The area has a number of excellent beaches, suited to, swimming, surfing, fishing and beachcombing; these being Bridgewater Bay, Shelly Beach and Whites Beach. The Great South West Walk winds its way around the entire Cape Bridgewater area, making it accessible to some of the most rugged and picturesque scenery on the Victorian coast. Best season to observe Blue Whales is December till April, whilst Southern Rights move through the area in winter
