Yes' Middle Period page
Hi! Welcome to my homepage!
A step down from the magnificence of Tales; Relayer is Yes' most schizophrenic album of this period! With a new keyboardist-Patrick Moraz, Yes would create a magnificent work:
"The Gates Of Delirium" and a beautiful song:"To Be Over!" On the other hand, "Sound Chaser" is an absolute noisefest!
Containing Yes' greatest work:"Awaken," Rick Wakeman returns to Yes' fold and creates Yes' best work, since Tales! A thoroughly impressive and beautiful work, Going For The One
also contains two of Yes' most beautiful compositions: "Turn Of The Century" and "Wonderous Stories." "Turn" is an outstandingly beautiful song, it would later be made even better on Keys To Ascension 2!
The other two songs, of which "Parallels" is the best; are still great! The title cut was a little unusual for Yes!
A major step down from "Going For The One," Tormato has a few great songs, namely: "Don't Kill The Whale," "Onward" and "On The Silent Wings Of Freedom!" "Release, Release" and "Circus Of Heaven" are also
very interesting!
Yesshows is another great live album! Though not as great as Yessongs or the later superlative live albumsKeys 1 or Keys 2, This album is still
quite excellent! The subject matter includes: songs from Going For The One, Tales and "Don't Kill The Whale" from Tormato! Some of the songs, include: Patrick Moraz
on the keyboards!
