Monster Magnet is a very unique band. The head of the band Dave Wyndorf, blended a 60's style music with a more modern metal sound. They're new album, Powertrip, expresses anger towards trashy people (if i'm correct...i read this somewhere a while back). He said he wanted to record like a sixties band and have it mixed like a Metallica album and for this he had the man who had mixed some of Metallica's albums mix his (he did this after going through several mixers). He thought that the radio sucked, and MTV sucked(except the cool people that were played like Bjork, Marilyn Manson, and he also said he liked some chinese or japanese punk groups) That's baisicly what he ment. They're first single off of that album, "Space Lord," was done in Las Vegas (as was the album) and i personally believe he is mocking Mase (i love that!!!). Also, Twiggy (from Marilyn Manson of course) was in that video, he was in a car with Dave Wyndorf showing the traditional "rock" sign.
