REVIEW:

It doesn't happy very often that you get a chance to listen to a new production of classic exotica!
Do you like wordless vocals? Martin Denny? Exotic percussion? Bird calls? Loungy "Las Vegas" vocals? Lazy cocktail jazz? Hammond sounds? 90's lounge? Exotic atmospheres?
Then get "The Forbidden Sounds of Don Tiki", because it's all there, and more: Martin Denny is on it, AND Lopaka Colon, son of Augie, doing the bird calls, or what did you expect? Almost 50 minutes of warm, excellently played exotica and lounge, that will bring Hawaiian heaven into your den, with 9 well crafted originals, 2 Martin Denny compositions (one of which was never recorded before) and 2 covers: "An Occasional Man", originally recorded by Judy Holliday, and "Close Your Eyes". Four tracks are vocal, the rest are instrumental.
