To Whom It May Concern:

On or around the 19th of September of 1992, I received a notice from your company that I had merchandise ready for pickup. All I had to do was place a call to your "800" number to arrange pick-up/delivery. You will find a copy of this "notification" attached within this package. We placed a call to your "800" number and were advised by a Heidi Rogers that our prize was a free dinner (a supposed $99 value) at the Holiday Inn on Sunday the 27th of September at 1730... the only requirement was that we listen to your presentation. We agreed and attended your presentation and were advised by Heidi Rogers and Olivia Ayala that we were able to join a "discount purchasing club" that was good for our and relative's lifetimes. We were also informed that should we remain at the Holiday Inn to listen to the remaining information and agree to sign up for this deal, we would be given the choice of the following to keep, regardless if we stayed with the program or not:

...to be delivered to our door.

We stayed and we chose the VCR. This "discount purchasing club" was then described to us with the following benefits.

Well, I must say that almost all of the above was totally false and appears to be nothing but a plan of entrapment or a blatant scam aimed at military individuals. Let me begin to tell you what my wife and I discovered to be reality, and you will see it be a very far stretch from what we were promised. * "...three days to "evaluate" this program..." We had no catalogs, and no products to evaluate within this three days. How were we to evaluate your program ?!?!

In short, I found nothing of this program to be of worth to me and I found it to be full of lies and deceit - as did two of our neighbors whom also got scammed into this program, so it was not just I who had a bad experience with you. We returned all of your booklets, catalogs, coupons, etc. We used NONE, and I repeat NONE of your "services". We made one $68 payment to you via military paycheck allotment, which more than paid for our free "electronic item" and then we attempted to call and cancel with your company as soon as possible. This was not 3 months after, nor 20 days after...not even ten days had passed when we tried to cancel. We signed your form on the 27th of September, 1992 and tried to cancel on or about the 2nd or 3rd of October, 1992. I returned all materials involved, via the post office mail the next day and proceeded to cancel my allotment to Stamford bank on 6 November, 1992. Unfortunately, when I tried to cancel over the phone, I was treated with great disrespect and rudeness by a woman who identified herself as "Nancy credit manager" and was told I was not allowed to cancel. I repeated my request and was given to a "manager" whom also treated me very rudely and impolitely and then proceeded to hang up on me. I can say I have never been treated so rude and bad by a company that is supposedly out to win my business. Do you really expect me to turn around and agree to stay with you after that ? And to continue making payments on a service I have never used or never will use ?!?! Oh, but the fun does not end there. I have been repeatedly harassed by phone calls at my parent-in-laws residence, receiving letters threatening to take me to court and demanding payment in full within 48 hours even though I had made it clear that I had canceled and had no involvement or activity with the referenced account, receiving calls at my duty location ! EVEN after the individual (Michael Roy) was told twice not to call again at that location as it was a military installation and it was during duty hours, receiving phone calls at home during dinner, receiving calls at home at 0400 in the morning !! You people then have the nerve to place a bad credit judgment on my credit report !!! None of our neighbors had ANY of these problems, and they did exactly as I did, and returned all of their materials, canceled by phone, etc., yet they have not heard anything since. I order you (Castle Credit Corporation, Advance Studies) AND your affiliates or representatives (William/Robert Brooks, Steven Nagy, Michael Roy, Legal Collection Office and their affiliates and representatives) to have no further contact with me, whatsoever, whether it be via verbal, messenger, telephonic, electronic, postal, written or telegraphic. I also demand that you strike the bad credit judgment from any and all credit reporting agencies you may have reported it to and restore my credit record to its original status. I am forwarding a copy of this letter to

a) the Better Business Bureau of Chicago

b) TRW(Experion)

c) Equifax

d) my credit union and

d) the state's attorney office in Illinois.

This letter will may also be forwarded, electronically if necessary, to every military base, the Air Force Times publications editor, the NCOA, to 20/20, to Nightline, whomever it takes in order for you to leave me alone, if you do not agree to my demands. This is not intended to do damage to your company's reputation, as I'm sure it proceeds you by now if you have treated any one else like this, but merely to inform you I will not tolerate this kind of treatment. I have never used your services, nor have I ever utilized any of your resources. Instead it is you who have been harassing me. I kindly request that you accept this as my written notice of cancellation and that all bad judgments be removed from my credit and we attempt to part ways in a semi-friendly manner. If you agree to withdraw your judgment from my credit report, I will withdraw my complaint and pursue it no further.

Thank you.
