***The You in Me***

Radish Rawks!

Hey, thanks for visiting my Radish page. I hope you enjoy it. For those of you that don't know, Radish is a 3 piece "sugar metal" band from Greenville, TX that kicks ass! Its composed of Ben Kweller(guitar, lead vocals,) Bryan Blur(bass, vocals) and John Kent(drums, vocals. Ben writes most of the song lyrics. He's been writing songs since he learned to write! He has acheived success at quite a young age. He is still sixteen and has already toured the United States and Europe playing songs from their album "Restraining Bolt". Radish is currently working on a new album and I think it will be pretty good, I've heard one or two of the tracks that are going to be on it. I've seen Radish in concert here in Fayetteville on two occasions. The first was their Sept 27 show at JRs Dickson St Ballroom, along with Nixons and Sevendust, two really great bands. The second time I saw Radish was a X-fest2 on Jan 31 at Doc Murdocks. Their were a whole lot of bands at this show. Before Radish played I heard Ten Below Zero, Hunkr Down, Would Be King, Be, and Spoken. Most of those are local bands, all rocked. I have had the opportunity to meet all three members of Radish, and they are some really nice guys. Unlike some other rock stars, these guys are very accessible and are easy to talk to. I am stoked because Ben Kweller now has a copy of my tape Silent Scream I handed it to him after their set at X-fest2 and he said 'Oh, Thanks man. I love getting this stuff. I really appreciate it.' I asked him to listen to it, so I hope that he and the rest of the band like it. I have collected some groovy stuff from their concerts. I admit to being a total autograph hound, and Im proud of it! Here's some of the Radish stuff I have.

Here's their playlist from X-fest2. It was given to me by their road manager. It looks like Ben's handwriting to me.

Here's the back of my ticket from the Sept 27 show. It's signed by Bryan and Ben. Bryan's the one who wrote "Jesse is my boy". Way cool. I would have gotten John's sig too, but he's kinda shy around fans.

Here's a pick I found on the floor after the same show. It used to say "Sugar Metal is Born" but Ben wore the letters off.

Here's a couple of sigs my sister Robin got at Xfest2. Bryan's "steal from the rich" is probably in reference to Robin Hood.(since its for Robin) What Ben wrote on the opposite page is totally true. How did he know? I should tell you that Ben kissed Robin on the neck at the first show she went to, and this time she kissed him on the neck!

Here's a picture I took at their Sept 27 show. The Nixon's decided to end their tour with Radish with a few pranks. They dumped baby powder on John's drumset and covered Bryans head with whip cream.

Here's some awesome Radish links.
