(1) Is George Young elder brother of Angus Young and Marlcum Young (AC/DC) ?
---> Yes. George also co-produced AC/DC's early albums with Harry Vanda.
(2) Do THE EASYBEATS re-union later ?
---> Yes. In 1986 they reunioned and had national tour. "Live - Studio
And Stage" contains those 'reunion' recordings. Snowy stopped playing the drums
two decades ago so that he had small problem with drumming and couldn't beat the
original easybeats' play by himself.
(3) I've already known that Harry and George made their name with musical works.
What business have the others been in afterward ?
---> Snowy had been a Perth Builder since he left the band. Dick also resigned
from musical business when the band was broken up. Stieve continued singing as a
solo singer. But he had eventually stopped his carreer.
(4) Who is Glenn A. Baker ? His name is signed on everything about THE EASYBEATS.
---> He is a originator of the RAVEN Records.
(5) Has anybody ever released THE EASYBEATS' songs as single or LP ?
---> Yes. Not a few musicians have recorded their songs and released. The most
famous one is "friday on my mind" by David Bowe.
(6) Are there anything that has been officially recorded and not released.
---> Yes. "The Shame Just Drained" was consisted of those unreleased
tracks. There's much to be released.
(7) I have read something complained that their live recording had been only a
take of "She's So Fine" on TV show. Is it true ?
---> No. Their live recordings can be heard on "Live - Studio And Stage"
from RAVEN. Maybe they are not OFFICIAL recordings.
(8) Is Snowy Fleet dead ? I have read some article that mentioned his death.
---> No, he must still be alive. Surely there have been some articles that
said he died in 1969. But he joined the band when the reunion-tour were held in 1986.
So the rumour is untrue.
(9) Who is Russel ? Most of the songs in the"Friends" is composed by
him/her. Leon Russel ?
---> Harry and George. THEY are Russel. They concealed their name on the
credits of "Friends". There were some reason to do so. Maybe they were
in trouble with contracts.
(10) "Friends" sounds very similar to the works of Vanda=Young in the
70's. Why did they have to break up THE EASYBEATS ?
---> Most of the songs included in "Friends" was made by only two
of them --- Harry and George. Steve sang on a few tracks but didn't on the others.
Maybe he didn't keep touch with Harry and Young. Mostly George and Harry was on
the lead vocal. I think the bass player and the drummer was also Harry and George.
If you hear the songs closely, the bass lines are not bass-like (rather guitar-like
sounds) and the drums are very simplified. Probably the palyers weren't Dick and
Tony. THE EASYBEATS had already broken up before the songs in the album "Friends"
was recorded.
