From Sun Herald (Sydney) Sept. 28 '97

FIRST came the shoes.

Erupting from the seething entanglement of legs arms and heads that made up yesterday's Grudgefest crowd, they landed perilously close to the members of American band Veruca Salt.

Posted in plain sight of the front row was a message that read: Body surfing, moshing, stage diving and any other similar acts prohibited.

But the young fans enjoying all three activities issued a collective "yeah, right" and just got on with it at Prince Alfred Park, Surry Hills.

Even Veruca Salt singer Louise Post broke the rules, climbing over the barricades and riding on the fingertips of the fans in a perfect exhibition of banned activity number one .....

  • there is an accompanying picture of Louise with the caption "BIG HIT: Louise Post."
