Tuesday, November 18, 1997 Germans Don't Buy Oasis's Act They may be the biggest thing in the U.K., but the rest of the world has yet to embrace Oasis like its native country. The Gallagher brothers have sold out eleven U.K. concerts in December, but they can't fill the German arenas they'll be appearing in this week. According to Agence France-Presse, event organizers say there are "plenty of tickets" available for five German shows that kick off Wednesday in Munich. Only the band's final appearance within German borders has managed to sell out.
Oasis will be touring Stateside in January, where they're also having depressed ticket sales. Of twelve currently confirmed North American dates, all still on sale, only two have sold out—the January 15 Toronto show and the first of two appearances at Los Angeles's Universal Amphitheater, on January 27. Of course, the cheeky band hasn't had a lot of luck touring the States in the past. You'll recall that last year, their road trip across the U.S. was cut short due to bickering between Liam and Noel.
