- Following their multimedia debut with the Interactive Songbook, Oasis are going even more PC. They're now being featured in a new photographic exhibition using 'photos' printed with a colour inkjet printer. The exhibition has the full support of the band, while songwriter/guitarist Noel Gallagher came up with the title, Was There Then, to complement the Be Here Now album.
- The show features the work of photographer Jill Furmanovsky, who has been photographing Oasis since 1994. Shes made her living photographing pop bands for over 25 years, including The Police, Pink Floyd and The Clash. On show are more than 200 pictures of the band in concert, the studio, and even in private, many of which haven't been seen before by the public.
- The exhibition has been sponsored by Epson and uses an Epson Stylus Colour 3000 printer, which has a resolution of 1,400 dpi and is capable of A2 output and printing banners up to five metres in length. For scanning trannies, Epson has utilised a FilmScan 200, as well as an Epson GT-9500 36-bit flatbead scanner which can recognise up to 68 billion colours and scan resolutions up to 4,800dpi, and an Epson EMP-5000 SVGA projector.
