- More Album News! PROJECT: The Wallflowers'
return, due this summer. THE DETAILS: After recording the

Dylan and band mates Michael Ward, Rami Jaffee, Mario
Calire, and Greg Richling have spent the past few months
in an L.A. studio, putting the finishing touches on their
latest opus. "I'm looking for the last couple of songs
at this point," says Dylan. "I have more than
enough. I'm just trying to figure out which ones aren't
horrible." THE NEW SOUND: Working with producer Julian
Raymond (Fastball), Dylan promises a few changes. "It's

- Off A Wallflower BB: "A good source tells
me that our favorite boys have at least 4 songs recorded
for the new album. A different source (still a music
insider, but not quite as close to the band) tells me that
they don't have a definite release date and that it might
be mid-1999. This person also tells me that there might be
some sort of delay due to some deal happening with
Universal/PolyGram that Interscope is mixed-up in."
- Jakob celebrated his 29th birthday on Wednesday,
December 9th.
- Country roots rocker Joe Henry has tapped an
obvious collaborator in Jakob Dylan for his latest effort,
Fuse, due March 9, 1999 on Mammoth Records. The younger
Dylan, whose father is such a distinct influence on
Henry's rural, singer/ songwriter style, lends backing
vocals to the album's first single, "Skin and Teeth." Fuse,
the follow-up to 1996's Trampoline, was mixed by Daniel
Lanois and T-Bone Burnett, and includes additional special
guests such as Rami Jaffee and Greg Richling of the
Wallflowers, Dave Palmer (MC 900 Foot Jesus, Chris Isaak),
and several members of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Lanois
also plays bass guitar on a few tracks on the album. To
find out more go here.
- Rami's going to be producing the majority of Phil
Cody's next release with Interscope, as well as performing
in every song! It's due out around the same time as the
next Wallflower release, early 1999.
