Please observe these ethics when making tapes :

*When you send lists of tapes for trade, please include the time, quality, and date of the shows/tapes.

1) Use high quality tapes: Use high bias cassettes, preferably Maxell or TDK.

2) Do not use dolby B or C to reduce hiss or distortion. I'd rather have it
as is.

3) Do not use high speed dubbing or auto-reverse, please.

4) Absolutely do not dub me tapes on cassettes that already have music on them, this is like losing a couple of generations.

5) Please do not alter any of the music on any tapes to save space or anything
of that nature. I know this sounds insane, but it happens.

6) Make sure not to adjust the input too high or too low. The first ruins
the tape and the second increases noise (hiss). I like my levels to be "punching"
zero or +1 on the meter. If you have no control over these factors please read
the next stuff.

*I recommend the use of two single decks instead of a dual recording deck.
The duals tend to speed up or slow down tape speeds over generations. They
also don't allow you to adjust input levels and other helpful things.
They also wear out faster. Of course this is up to you, but I just wanted
to put this in here.

7) Make sure if your T.V. set is situated close to your taping equipment, that you make tapes with the T.V. off. The sound of the T.V. will be taped onto the copy. I can hear it!

8) Lastly, please be relatively prompt with trades. I don't need things
lightning fast (although that is welcome!) but within two weeks is neccessary

Thank you for reading this. I am sorry to those of you who already knew
all this.
