Other Stuff

Micky was born into show biz, both his father and his mother had been actors. When he was young, he got the part of a Mexican boy in some movie, but then something having to do with goverment happened and THAT fell through (Gee, I am astounded by my own knowlege *G*)

Well, Micky had the average normal 1950's childhood 'till one day his leg started hurting. He went to the hospital, and found out that he had Perthese disease and for the next year of his 7 year old life he had to walk around with his leg slung up behind him. That must have sucked royally. When he finally got better his right leg was a quarter of an inch shorter than his left.

Micky's next show biz type thing (What a high vocabulary I have) was with the 1955-1958 show Circus Boy. He was cast as the Circus boy. In case you haven't figured it out, he played a boy (Corky). At a circus. He rode around on an elephant, Bimbo and did a bunch of circus-type things. He also learned to play the guitar, which would bring him in to the music world later on. Eventually, in 1958, the show was cancelled and Micky's parents decided that he should live a "normal" childhood rather than that of a child-actor.

When Micky went back to school (he had been tutered while on Circus Boy) he was 2 grades ahead. For social reasons, his parents decided to make him take grade 9 twice, and Micky has said that it was this experience that made school become boring for him. He had a little brush in with the law when he was in High School. Micky and his friends were out "garaging" which involved going up to unlocked cars (people kept their cars unlocked at some point in time?) anyway, he got caught, and had to spend the night in jail. His friends didn't. (Poor Micky.. need someone to cheer you up? I'll do it! *EG*)

Well, it was around this time that Micky's dad died. (my offer still stands Mick!) It was a very hard time for him, and in response, he burnt all the bibles in the house, and wrote a note to the people of the future, asking them to bring his dad back.

When Micky was 19-20 his mother got re-married to Dr. Robert Scott and moved up to San Jose. Micky stayed in LA and joined up with a band called Micky and the One Nighters, with whom he got the clap (well, um I hope not *with* them). They eventually kicked him out. (:Þ** to them) Then he joined up with... The Monkees!

So, Micky had fun with the Monkees, and in 1967.. the summer of, they introduced him to his future first wife- Samantha Juste. Micky had gone to England on Monkee business of some sort, and got to meet Paul McCarthy also, when he saw Samantha. She was working as a something-or-other on a show called "Top of the Pops" I *think* Eventually she moved out to America, and lived with Micky till she got pregnant. Then they got married, and they still lived together, so disregard that..

Together they had a daughter, Ami Bluebell Dolenz, before getting divorced sometime in the early 70's. Durring the 70's, and after the Monkees has evapourated, Micky toured with Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart. They put out an album and toured.. Micky's sister Coco even joined his touring (and singing) for a wee bit

Micky then travelled to jolly ol' England and worked as a director for awile. His directing credits are numerous, and if you care then you should Buy His Book. In fact, buy it anyway (Gee, they don't even PAY me for this..) but you may have a hard time as it is Out Of Print. So, whatever. Micky married agian, to some other girlie (Trina Dow), and they had 3 daughters... Charlotte Janelle Dolenz, Emily Clair Dolenz and Georgia Rose Dolenz (Georgia.. Hmm.. why does that sound familiar Oh, George Michael Dolenz? And do I see floweric tendencies? Bluebell and Rose... over-analyzing? Me?!) In 1984 Micky started working on his Advanced Physics Doctorate, or something equalily as impressive with the word "Physics" in there somewhere. Unfortunatly he wouldn't get the chance to finish becuase..

The Monkees came back.. at first Micky refused to do another tour etc. but then he thought about how fun it could be, and how much his daughters would like it yadda yadda yadda and joined up. At first Peter, Davy and Mike all refused to join, then Peter accepted and recorded a single with Micky. Davy eventually joined the tour, made Pool It etc but if you want to read about THEM read about THEM and stop reading this. Got it? Good..

So he toured with The Monkees again, made lotsa money again, got divorced again, and did a lot of other things again I'm sure such as eating, bathing (we hope), and dressing (we don't hope.. but somehow it happend).

Now Micky is touring with the Monkees, again. He has a art show out and they are vewy pitty pictures, I have heard. He has two solo albums out, and is SINGLE (but hands off, he's MINE bay-bee) So, yeah, go see him. The Monkees are touring Australia and New Zeland next (Go to Canada! Canada!) so if you live THERE you must be mighty happy. I don't. :Þ***
