For one, Americans for Radio Diversity seems to have been quite inactive lately. The site on which I'm now relying for my news of corporate media consolidation and bias is DIYMEDIA.NET, the project of one highly intelligent and astute grad student in Champaign-Urbana, IL. There, you'll find news articles discussing media bias and pressures exerted upon Congress by Big Media lobbyists, as well as sound collages, an ongoing record of the FCC's war against microradio, and links to further resources.
KSMM, the southwest metro AM station where I was lucky enough to obtain an on-air internship, got bought out a couple of months after I stopped maintaining this site in 2000, and has since gone through several format changes. The last time I checked, it was an unusual hybrid of Christian Contemporary and non-religious Lite AC.
As forTHE GROTTO, enter if you dare... I'm warning that Website because it seems to have gotten quite silly! It's a man's life in the modern British Army... In any event, I might be making some cosmetic changes and updates to it, and preserving that which seems worthy of preservation -- though I suspect my finer-toothed examination is going to turn up a lot of things that would make Aunt Edna's holiday fruitcake seem worth keeping by comparison... :-D
