The Toyota Avensis

A couple months ago Toyota launched a complete new model. The name of this model is Avensis. The Avensis is the sequence on the Carina (I, II and E). The Toyota company said that the name Carina doesn't have enough impact anymore. So they decided to give the new Carina a new name, and call this car Avensis. The front of the Avensis looks strong (A bit like the Picnick). The car is sold with 4 different types of engines. The engines are : 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 litre petrol and 2.0 turbo diesel.
The 1.8 litre petrol version is a leanburn engine, that means that the ratio between petrol and air is different than normal. There is less petrol used, and therefore the car is more economical. The 1.8 and the 2.0 can also be bought with an automatically gear.
The car got a lot of standard features, some of these are : ABS, front spoiler, halogen frontlights, 3 seat- belts at the backseats, 4 loudspeakers (2 front, 2 rear) electrical controlled side mirrors, and a start blocker (To prevent your beautiful car against nasty car thiefs.). You can buy the car in 10 different colours. These are : Solar Red (see left), Bordeaux (red), Racing Green, Cactus (cream/green), Baltic Green, Electric Blue, Night Shadow (dark blue, see under), Pure White, Satin Black and Polar Silver.
The Avensis is made in 3 types, namely : a liftback, a sedan and a wagon. If you like you can also buy the Toyota Navigation System. This is a navigation system which can guide you to any place. The data of you county is stored on a CD-ROM. The system knows you current position by using the Global Positioning System. Other options you can buy are : Air-conditioning, Light metal wheels, a rear spoiler , a chrome grill, and much more. Each type of Avensis can be bought in two price classes, the 'cheap' one is the Linea Terra, the 'expensive' one is the Linea Sol. If you buy the Linea Sol you've got also side-bags (an airbag at your side). Other safety things are : electronic belt tighten, break away mechanism, airbags (2x), and soft covering in the car.

Guarantee : 3 years on the entire car (max. 100.000km), 3 years EuroCare, and 6 years rust- guarantee.
