On the car exhibition in
Geneve (in Switzerland) you could have seen the new Toyota Yaris.
This car will be build in France (nearby Valenciennes) and is a
compact city car. The engine is a new 1.0 litre 16 valve one,
which delivers you about 50kW (68 HP). The engine will be build
in England (Deeside), and can easily drive 18km on 1litre petrol.
The car will only be 3.61m long and 1.65m wide, but inside there
is enough room for 5 adults. That is becourse the long wheelbase
and the height of 1.49m.
The safety in the car is done well with active and passive safety.
Take a careful look and you'll see a compact city car which is
very economical and also save.

The Yaris Verso is some kind
of mini-MPV, and will come with an 1.3 litre benzine engine.
If you take the rear seats down you'll get an enourmous available
space of 2160 litres. With this space it's simple to place some
bicycles straight into this car.
The Verso will come with lots of places where you can store some
stuff. The only disappointing thing is that this car won't be
released before the end of 1999.
