SABRINA SALERNO SINGLE RELEASES:
MY CHICO

Italian 'My Chico' 7" single

'My Chico' was Sabrina's second single in 1988, and another big success. The song reached the No. 1 position in the Italian singles-chart, and was quite successful in other European countries, too (reaching No. 57 in the German chart, for example). Sabrina co-wrote the song with Elvio Moratto, who would become her collaborator and producer for several more songs, including 'Gringo' and some tracks on 1991's 'Over The Pop'-album.

French 'My Chico' 7" single

'My Chico' releases are known from Italy, France, Spain, Germany and Denmark. Usually, there is a 7"-release and a 12"-release. All countries used about the same mixes this time, with a 3:40 Radio Edit, a 5:25 Extended Mix and - here's where a small variation begins - either a 5:15 Dub House Mix or a shorter edit of this mix. To make up for these musical similarities, all countries used different picture-sleeve designs. The designs on the corresponding 12"-releases are the same as the 7"designs pictured here - with one exception: Videogram in Italy used two different picture-sleeves on their 12"s of 'My Chico', one of which is the same as the 7"-design, while the other has a sepia-toned picture of Sabrina.

CD singles are known from Germany, France (both with the same picture-sleeve designs as the 7"s and the same trackslistings as the 12"s) and Italy. The Italian CD single, released on Videogram, is unique, as it features a unique picture-sleeve and a unique tracklisting, coupling the Radio and Dub House mixes of 'My Chico' with the 6:36 extended and 4:23 instrumental mixes of 'All Of Me'.
