SABRINA SALERNO SINGLE RELEASES: COVER MODEL |
Italian 'Cover Model' 12" single French 'Cover Model' 7" single |
'Cover Model' (1991) is the second single in Sabrina's career that never made it's way onto an album. The song - produced by one DJ Mori - is a dance-track typical for Italian dance music in 1991. Unlike Sabrina's previous singles 'Yeah Yeah' and the Jo Squillo-collaboration 'Siamo Donne', both of which had been performed on TV numerous times, 'Cover Model' was performed very rarely on TV. Record-companies in just two countries (Italy and France) released the song. Both countries used unique designs for the picture-sleeves. While there was only a 4-mix 12" in Italy, there were two vinyl-formats released in France, a 7" and a 3-mix 12". Interestingly, the 'Extended Mixes' used on the 12" releases in both countries differ. While the french 'Extended Mix' runs for 6:33 minutes, the Italian mix of the same name is only 5:45 minutes long. The french 7" of 'Cover Model' remains the last commercial 7"-single by Sabrina ever to be released. |
French 'Cover Model' CD-single |
Today, the most sought-after releases of 'Cover Model' are the french CD-single and CD maxi releases. While the CD maxi contains all four mixes of the song, including the 6:33 'Extended Mix', the '2 titres' CD single contains just the 'Radio Edit' and the 'Piano Mix'. |
