SABRINA SALERNO SINGLE RELEASES:
HOT GIRL

After the enormous success with 'Boys (Summertime Love)', the team around Sabrina's manager Menzione tried to score another international hit with a new single. They chose 'Hot Girl', a song from Sabrina's by then-released first album, and had it remixed for the single-release. But, as things go, it's hard to plan success, and so 'Hot Girl' did much less good than it's predecessor (although Sabrina did everything to promote the new song: In a spanish TV-show, she danced in such an enthusiastical way that her top couldn't contain her breasts any more).

International releases for 'Hot Girl' are very varied, as almost all countries used unique designs for their picture-sleeves (Only Italy and France used the same design with a very 'fast'-looking Sabrina). Usually, the 12"-designs correspond to the 7"-designs. Three mixes were prepared, the 'New Version' in different lengths for 7" and 12"-use and a dub-mix.

Italian 'Hot Girl' 12" picture-disc

The most interesting 'Hot Girl'-releases originate from Italy and Germany. In Italy, Five Records released a very nice 12" picture disc (which, as the 'Boys'-picture disc before, features the 7" version of the song). In Germany, a remix-12" was released with a unique picture-sleeve. This remix is produced by Phil Harding of PWL Records (UK). So far, this rare 12" is the only time this mix has ever been made available.
