SABRINA SALERNO ALBUM RELEASES: OTHER ALBUMS |
Danish 'Single Hits' LP album |
There are several album releases by Sabrina which remained singular. One of these is the danish 'Single Hits'-album. To cash in on Sabrina's big success on the scandinavian markets once more, Mega Records of Copenhagen released a unique compilation of all of Sabrina's scandinavian singles in 1989. Not only does this album feature a unique picture-sleeve design, it also is one of the two album releases to combine tracks from Sabrina's first album and 'Super Sabrina' on one disc. |
Italian 'Super Remix' LP |
In 1990, Casablanca in Italy issued a unique compilation of remixes in the form of the very rare 'Super Remix' album. Among the album's 8 tracks is a unique remix of 'Sex', while the other remixes are available on other relases, too. The remix of 'Sex' is the guitar-driven version Sabrina mimed to on several TV shows in 1989/90. A version of 'Gringo' (the 5:00 Extended Remix) is also featured, making the 'Super Remix' album the only album to contain this song. |
French 'Samantha And Sabrina' CD album |
One of the strangest album releases by Sabrina is the 'Samantha And Sabrina' CD album, issued by Arcade France in 1995. It features some of the greatest hits of Sabrina's one-time worst enemy, Samantha Fox, plus some tracks from Sabrina's first album - and the 'Short Edit' of 'Angel Boy'! The packaging is very attractive, as the CD's insert folds out into a poster of the picture-sleeve's frontal image. |
Peruvian 'Grupo Maja' LP album |
The oddest album release has to be the peruvian 'Grupo Maja' LP, however. This LP does not contain any vocal contribution by Sabrina - but it does feature the 'Boys'-picture of Sabrina on it's cover. The music on the disc is very strange, with the peruvian group singing beach-themed Italian songs (among them two by the famous Italian singer/composer Nico Fidenco) over a backdrop of cheap synthesizer-music. |
