SABRINA SALERNO ALBUM RELEASES: SUPER SABRINA |
Italian 'Super Sabrina' LP Japanese 'Super Sabrina' CD |
1988 saw the release of Sabrina's second album, titled 'Super Sabrina', in Italy, France and Denmark. Germany, Japan and South Africa followed in 1989. The standard format was still the vinyl LP, with Italy adding a bonus in the form of a very nice picture-disc (using the picture as the standard LP). While all countries used the same picture-sleeve design, the tracklistings are quite different. Italy and Germany added 'Boys' and 'Sexy Girl' to the 8 tracks especially procuced for the LP, Denmark released only these 8 tracks, while the french CD release couples the 8 tracks with the 'Extended Mix' of 'My Chico' and the 'PWL Remix' of 'All Of Me'. Most interesting is the japanese CD, however, which contains several rare remixes, including the 5:03-version of 'Doctor's Orders'. |

Just two years after it's original release, the 'Super Sabrina'-tracks were licensed to a reissue-label for the first time in 1990. This first reissue-CD (on the Castle-label) came still with the original artwork. Many other reissues followed on many different labels, usually with new artwork. Some of these CDs are pictured here. |

As can easily be seen here, most of these reissues aren't graced by the most beautiful artwork. But at leat these usually small reissue-labels bothered to give their CDs a new look (maybe they just had to, as they had to sell the sam tracks over and over again). |
