"The five tracks on this cassette were amounst the very first songs written from a now growing selection. They were not particularly selected as being our most commercially viable or danceable material but rather that at the time they represented a variance which is continually making itself felt, and one which will become indicative of the future. Raymonde does not intent to enchain itself to one particular school or sphere of music, although the style, as it becomes more established, will become pronounced and assertive.

RAYMONDE was assembled in December 1984 and consists of : JAMES MAKER, poet, natural dramatist, chief spokesperson and author of "Sec and the Memtally Handicapped - Where Do We Go From Here?" amoungst others. PHIL HUISH interestingly learnt his craft while serving a fairlt lengthy sentence in an inexhaustibly long list of borstal institutions throughout the country. To all effects and purposes, a tattooed market boy, reformed criminal and Genius. Possessed of a uniqueness, humanity, humour and...candour...that one would expect from a boy of such a cheqquered history. GARY BAINBRIDGE is the exxence of the Bass Guitarist: firm, immovable, statuesque, yet at the same time, entirely unprepossessing, whose previous life is never, ever, mentioned. Finally to JOHN HEWITT, resident percussionist. Previously of Tangier, which speaks voulumes in itself, a man of extreme height, gentitily, proven cabability, few words & strong conviction."
