After 18 hours on the ferry from Aberdeen we finally arrive at Lerwick and find the hotel in the town.  After a brief rest we set out to find the venue, which turns out to be a sports centre located in the middle of nowhere.  Rocks and hills into the distance with sheep dotted here and there.  Turns out there aren't too many gigs out here, so everybody comes down to the gig.  Its very weird as the front row is lined with guys in heavy metal T-shirts, who clearly don't think much of the Smiths.  This leads to quite a confrontational gig and I think the Smiths play better for it. Morrissey finally asks them to leave before the encore "beacuse you're boring".  My favourite gig of the tour.
