ABOUT THE BAND - In 1990 Klaus was asked to sing in a band that his brother Vern had formed called “Frenzy”. Mike played drums, Paul played rhythym guitar, Vern played lead guitar and Bill was on the bass. Bill and Klaus took an instant dislike to each other and often came to blows during rehearsals. It didn’t take long for Bill to work his way up to lead guitarist and after a year of playing in a tiny sound-proofed garage their dislike turned into respect - musical respect. They started writing songs together and realized they had something. They quit “Frenzy”.

Another year went by and they continued writing material. In 1992 they formed a new band called “Silkworm” which quickly got renamed “Liquid Noose” and recorded a 4 song, 8-track demo with new members Brendan on bass and Malcolm on drums. The Noose hit the road playing pub gigs. 1994 saw “Liquid Noose” back in the studio recording another 4 song, 8-track demo, but shortly after recording Malcolm left to join another band and Brendan’s university work forced him out. Back to the duo songwriting sessions.

For the next 2 years they went through drummers and bass players like it was going out of fashion, no one could fully grasp their musical style. Enter the bass player. Glenn was a school mate of Bill’s, they grew up together, and he was playing in a band called “Narcolepsy”. In 1997, after “Narcolepsy” split, he joined “Liquid Noose”. Now all they needed was to find a drummer, a good drummer. The Drum Kit. A black drum kit had sat in Klaus’ room since 1996, he’d got it off Glenn, who had borrowed it off a guy named Damien, the cousin of Paul from “Frenzy”, and been used by many drummers that couldn’t cut it. Klaus had bumped into Damien a few times and decided to ask him to try out for “Liquid Noose”. Damien was reluctant to join at first but after listening to their music and ideas he joined in the middle of 1997. Now the line-up was complete, the band started writing new material, and on May 14 1998 recorded a 10 song demo CD.
