The first curious thing about this disc is that it plays at 33rpm, not the usual 45rpm for 7" singles, although I have been informed that this is because it's in fact not a single at all, but an EP.
And if you have a close look at the catalogue number (QUEEN 27) scratched into the centre of the vinyl you'll see that the 7 has been scratched over the top of a previous number. The release was originally slated to be as QUEEN 26 but when it was decided not to release the single, this number was scrapped.
However, pressure from fans changed EMI's mind and the song was released with the new number of QUEEN 27.
As a result, there is no QUEEN 26 in the Queen catalogue.
