[6-5-2001] Well, someone keeps signing the guestbook requesting a member update, so what the hell. School ended a little bit ago and everyone did well and didnt flunk out. Pat's staying at Central, and has played with a couple groups, the Rockometers (a Ramones cover band) at the Neutral Zone, and he'll be drumming for the Deeyocks this weekend, and has been jamming with Karl a lot. Hosh is back from art school and is playing trombone for the clinton ska band Not Quite Punk. Haven't heard from Ron, sorry. Niki will stay at Eastern, and has been working with Nik and Chris formerly of Redlined, we'll see what develops from that. Adam moved to Ann Arbor for the summer and is playing bass for New Oxford, and also for the Deeyocks this weekend. Karl will be headed back to Ann Arbor shortly, where he will continue with the Codependents, and One Block West in September. Adam and Karl will both return to U of M. So what am i talking about with the Deeyocks this weekend? Well, Adam's house is having a party this weekend at 910 Greenwood in Ann Arbor, and there will be a special one time only appearance of the Deeyocks, performing "I Hate Girls" by Slapstick. Former Plunger trumpet player Jeff will be performing with the group, he lives at the house too. So come and see all the old plunger cronies....or don't....
[5-4-2001] Adam has just started playing bass (and occasional trumpet) for a new Ann Arbor punk project called "New Oxford." They don't have a webpage, but look for them in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. Karl's new band, One Block West, is taking a summer break, but they'll be back in September making the world depressed again...
[4-8-2001] Well, mother fucker...Plunger played a show on Saturday?!?! Kind of. Patrick came down from Central and got together with Karl, Niki, and Adam, with special guest Howard Chang (of Karl's new side project One Block West) on bass, at Pat's sister's house where the Codependents and One Block West were performing that night. The modified Plunger lineup burned through a well received rendition of "Sugar Coated World" and cussed and yelled a lot on stage. The only thing that would have made it better was Hosh and Ronnie, bummer they couldn't be there. Thanks also to former Plunger member Jeff, who filmed the whole thing on Pat's video camera. Thanks to all who watched that night, and especially those who recognized the band and song! Now quit bitchin about updates...
[12-29-00] Got a coupla new pics from Pat's grad party...including the new title pic. Click Pat, and Karl. Self Titled, good friends of Plunger's, are playing at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor on January 24th with the Codependents. You may see familiar faces Ian and Karl...go check 'em out.
[12-21-00] Five of the six members of Plunger (Ronnie was absent) got together today in Pat's basement and played some of the old tunes. No plans for a reunion of any kind...but a good time was had by all. I guess its about time for a member update. Patrick has met a guitarist in Mount Pleasant where he goes to CMU and hopefully will have something in the works before the year is out. Ronnie is in California and has reportedly joined two bands, playing his wicked bass style in one and playing drums in the other. Karl is attending U of M and is now a member of the Ann Arbor ska/punk band the Codependents. You can visit their page in the links section. Niki has been playing in Ypsilanti where she goes to EMU...no plans as of now for a permanent group. Hosh is attending art school in Minneapolis, and still playing the 'bone. Adam has learned how to play bass and is in the Ann Arbor area attending U of M. More when anything happens.....tapes are available, sign the guestbook or send me an e-mail.....and thanks for continuing to check the page out. It was a lot of fun. ~karl
[8-21-00] The farewell show at Mug's went as well as I could have imagined it. Thanks to all who supported us on the last night of our existence and thanks to so many who have helped us in some way over the course of nearly three years. Check out the pictures from the final performance through the link below. This webpage will still be up and running, but won't be updated too often. Yep, Karl is still a lazy, smarmy bastard.
