• Information has always been a value, but not after industrial revolution. Before, the most values resources by society are land and agricultural produce. But now, information is considered as the most important value. Because, to do all kinds of activity human do need information. It is considered of paramount importance of being able to make appropriate decisions.

• Data : Is simply a collection of unorganised facts or figures, such as : a list of all the data of film gained by SuperVideo store.

• Information : Process or refined data which carries meaning and is of value or perceived value.

• Information Technology result in a wide range of possible areas of study : hardware and software, human aspects, and procedures in organisation.

• Organisation : is an ordered collection of people and physical objects bound together by a set of common procedures for the purpose of achieving a set of commonly understood goals.

• Information is needed by individuals because they need to access information constantly, and information can help solve a problem by allowing us to make decision.

• Information is needed by organisation because they gained all their data from information, and they need the information to help them decide and make the right decision.

• Types of organisation :     - Profit driven organisations - Organisation that need income. Usually charged the customer in                                                   the form of fees and tax.
                                               - Non profit organisations - Organisation which provide a service without charging money.
