Characteristic of  Information

•  The basic nature of information can be classified as qualitative and quantitative, and formal or informal. Qualitative information tends to  be conveyed by opinion, based on some form of analysis. And Quantitative information tends to be information conveyed as facts and figures

• There are three structure of information : Detailed information format (information that is very detailed), Aggregated information format (summary information), and Sample information data.

• Information can be represented in a variety of forms, such as : text, voice, visual or graphic. Text, eg : newspaper, journals, etc. Voice, eg: Phone calls, tapes, and customer inquiries.  Visual or graphical, eg: histogram, graphs, etc.

• Information can be found in many different places and sources. It can be collected from inside the organisation or outside the organisaton.
