I don't understand it. I for one am not surprised that these kids did that. Society outcasts them and when they finally retaliate they are all shocked, and outraged! Who pushed them aside? Who made them feel that they needed to do this? Society. To set the record straight I do not condone the killings, but I understand their thinking. I mean these kids were ridiculed, persecuted. How sick is that? These stupid parents out here blame it all on the video games, and the internet, and other violent resources. But thats not what it is at all. I've thought about what happened long and hard, I mean I feel for those kids. They thought they only way they could get some justice done was to go off and kill a bunch of people. I'm not a violent person by nature unless someone attacks me first, then I defend myself. I still can't get over how all these parents and adults think thatno one saw it coming. I've seen it coming for awhile. Itz been about 2 months since itz happened, and yet all they try to do is enforce more laws. "oh lets put safety locks on guns so that kids can't shoot other kids." I'm sorry thats not the way to do it. Kids can figure out safety latches, we are a lot smarter than anyone even wants to concieve. I've realized that when you are young you are smarter than most people in the world. All these adults are so blind to what goes on in schools. I mean in my English class last semester this one guy would call everything gay. I mean I'm sorry, but I was insulted. Gay isn't a fucking put down. I'm only bi, put if I was gay I'd proud as hell. Hell I'm proud now that I'm bi, I'm a lot more open to new things than most people out there. They have close minds. I feel sorry for those pathetic people out there who think that just b/c the bible says so it is right. Itz not always right. It says to kill people for believing in different things than what it says. I mean I know that was Old Testament times, but how many people out there actually hate people who are different?? the answer, A LOT. I mean if everyone accepted everyone else than why do we have labels?? ok I've completely gone off the topic, but yet it still relates.
Anyways, back to the guys. I respect them in some way for actually standing up in what they believed in. i don't like that fact that Dylan lost control, well at least I've heard he lost control. Eric was in control, and he was working for what he believed in, don't condone it, but hey how many people out there don't condone a lot of the stuff that I do? It isn't my place to judge them, itz not anyones place to judge anyone. I know sometimes it is hard not to judge, or have first impressions. But we gotta get past this. This is supposed to be an age of understanding, well making laws and forcing people to do something they don't wanna do isn't understanding. We need acceptance, we need to learn from ourselves, and those around us that we may all be different, but who the hell cares? I mean sure there are people I don't like, but they aren't themselves. There are some people at my school who try to suck up to me, I don't know why. I'm not that special. I guess they think I'm "cool". Well I got news for them. I'm not. I'm not cool, or trendy, or any other label you give me. I'm Lynn. I'm myself. Just like Dylan and Eric were...
