Review: When I first heard the song "Time Bomb" on the
radio, I thought "Wow, they sound like a throw back to the punk flavored
by a tad of ska/Reggae of the Clash." Well, I've liked the Clash since
my brother brought home "Combat Rock" and they got booed of the
stage of a Rolling Stone concert. So, I bought ...And Out Came The Wolves.
I was not disappointed. Although the tracks "Ruby Soho" and "Time
Bomb" are better known, I enjoy the whole album. Fast paced, lyrics
that are hard to understand, everything I like about the original Punk
scene. I especially like "The 11th Hour" and "Roots Radical."
This is not one of those CDs that I had to listen to multiple times before
I started to like it. That's always good because I don't start second guessing
my taste with the awful "Why in the world did I buy that CD? The radio/MTV
duped me!" But then again, albums that take a while to like, tend
to have better staying power. The best places to listen to it: in your
car so all the other can look at you and wonder "Why the fuck is that
person having such a fun commute?" and played loud while shooting
nerf hoops (the downstairs neighbor just loves it!).
