this song is very complex, and can get very confusing. there are many changes, and the changes don't always follow a set pattern, so knowing what to play and when to play it is a little tricky. i'm not 100% sure about the notes that are played on the higher strings, but they are very close. i know the root notes and the order of riffs is right, because i watched Simon play it on Show to make sure that they are right.

okay, here's the order the riffs go in:
start out by (naturally) playing the intro.
when the drums kick in, start playing main riff 1.
play it during all the verses and instrument breaks, until robert sings "never say goodbye."
at the instrument break following that line, start playing main riff 2. play it thru the next verse.
the instrument break after "don't let this end, please stay" go back to riff 1. play it until the chorus.
after the chorus is the bridge. then the solo.
after the solo play riff 2 until the second chorus, and that's the end.
