O
nce upon a time, there lived a beautiful princess who's beauty could not be matched.
H
er hair was like a million strands of the finest quality silk, and her eyes were filled with the twinkles of the stars.
H
er skin was soft and tan, and she had a body that couldn't have been sculpted any better by the most famous of sculpters.
O
ne day a fine Irish prince moved from a land far away to our princess's island. The prince was a stranger in a strange land, but within days of his arrival he happened accross the place of business where our princess worked.
F
rom the first moment the prince saw the princess, he knew that he had to get to know her. She was so beautiful in fact, that the prince started having impure thoughts.
B
ut being a little shy by nature, the prince could only smile in her direction. Too shy to speak he left, but her beauty stayed with him for days and days and days.
F
rom time to time, the prince would go into the bank where the princess worked, and slowly they started talking to one another, and the talking slowly turned into light flirting.
T
he prince and princess started emailing each other on a regular basis, getting to know one another a little better. The prince still desperatly wanted to take the princess out on a date, but was too shy to ask...so the flirting continued.
B
y now four months had passed, and the prince still figuring that time was on his side had some bad news befall him. Within the next two months, the prince would have to return to his homeland.
T
he prince knew he had blown his chance, time as it seems, was not on his side, and his friend time- was now his enemy. He decided it best to leave the princess alone, it was only fair to her that he did not pursue her.
T
he princess emailed the prince, wondering where he had gone- why she had not seen nor heard from him. He confessed his situation to her. How he wanted to be with her, and had wanted to be with her for what seemed like an eternity. The princess wouldn't have any of this whinning- if they should only have a month together, than a month was better than nothing.
A
smile came accross the prince's heart. The princess was right. The time the two would spend together could be magical- even if it was short. So, the prince and the princess went out on their first date.
T
he couple had a grand time. The princess made the prince feel like a prince for the first time in a long, long time. Her inner beauty truly visible to him for the first time, he knew he must repay the beauty she had bestowed upon him with some beauty of his own.
A
rrangements were made by the prince for the princess to receive a suprise gift. The next day, while at work, a lady arrived to the princess with gift in hand- a dozen red roses for the princess. She was touched by the prince's gesture of kindness, and now the princess felt like a princess.
A
second date ensued, and a third, and a fourth. Things were going so well for the prince and the princess, but time was growing ever shorter- and shorter. Soon the prince would have to leave.
W
ould the prince ever return? Would the princess visit the prince in his land? Would our couple ever see each other again? Only time will answer these questions.
N
ow, being the prince's servant, I cannot talk for the princess, but I can speak of the prince. And I know that he will miss the princess when he leaves, and there will always be a place for her in his heart. There will always be a place for her in his mind, where he will think of her and remember what was, ponder what might have been, and dream of what may be...
Y
ou never forget the special people who light up your life- even if only for a moment...
