1. Intro (Blackball Me)
-This opening song talks about how people have tried to put down Priest. The
vocals are deeper than Priest's usual voice. 7.5/10
2. Madness
-Priest talks about all the crazy things that go on around him. The song has good
beats. 8.5/10
3. My Hood
-Priest describes what it's like in his hood. The beat is about average, but the
guest vocals by Amber Alexis help the song out. 7.5/10
4. Horsemen Talk
-This song includes the other members of the horsemen including Kurupt, Ras Kass,
and Canibus. The beats are weak, and no one really stands out in this song.
7/10
5. Come Wit Me
-This song features Geroge Clinton. The beats are tight. Clinton's voice adds to
the quality of the song. His voice has an eerie type of feel to it.
9/10
6. Royal Priesthood
-I get tired of rappers saying ugh. This song has a blandness to it. I couldn't
really get into the song. 7.5/10
7. Crime Stories-Interlude
-This is a very short song. It's too bad, because the beats were good.
8/10
8. Witness the King
-This song flows well, and it's easy to feel the song.
8.5/10
9. Heat of the Moment
-Starts out with a biblical type interlude similar to ones that are on Heavy
Mental. The chorus is smooth. 8/10
10. CU When I Get There
-This song has a soul flavor to it. The beats are good and I like the
vocals by
Ty-N. 8/10
11. The One
-Another good song featuring George Clinton. The beats are tight, and Clinton's
voice takes you into a trance like euphoria. 9/10
12. Thug Revelation
-This song features the Maccabees who are pretty tight. Also, the chorus by the
Daughters of Zion are pretty good. 8/10
13. My Life
-The beats are all right. Priest saying my life can get
repetitive though.
7.5/10
14. Places Where Pharoahs Go-Interlude
-Similar to the song heavy mental from his first album. Talks about his mind's
thoughts. 6.5/10
15. The Law
-Tje lyrics are tight in this song. That deep voice in the chorus hinders the
song though. 8/10
16. Theme Song
-This slower paced song has a good flow. It's a good conclusion to the album.
8/10
Overall, I give this album an 8/10. Priesthood is better than View From Masada,
but Killah Priest's classic is still Heavy Mental.
