New Information added on 2/28/05 This page is a place to read up on the recent updates. If you have any information please email me or post it on the message board. If you have any questions, it's best to post them on the message board. I'll try and respond to them there. Hopefully another person's question will be answered at the same time. Most of the information on this page was submitted by individuals. |
Two new interviews have been added to the articles page. Both pre-date Candelabra Cadabra's release. The discography has been updated with some new scans of promotional releases. Also, I did some general clean up of site (removing old links, etc) [added: 2/28/2005].
Two new articles have been added to the articles page. Both are from the NY Rock website. The first is a short review of the new album, and the second is a concert review from 2000 [added: 5/16/01].
The discography is officially up and running. It includes promotional material and imports as well as compilations. Any mistakes can be reported either by emailing me or by posting it on the message board. Also, I realized that the download page was missing and so I brought that up again. It's a little empty right now, but I'm working on getting more downloads up and running. [added: 4/12/01]
Sorry that it's been so long since an update. I have put the discography on hold (simply because I don't have time, but I'm still slowly getting it up an running). Also, the message board server that I use is no longer offering free message boards beginning March 5. I'm currently looking for a new server. I'll keep everyone posted. [added: 2/22/01]
Live pictures have been added from September 30. [added: 10/10/00]
New live pictures have been added from May 6. [added: 5/15/00]
A Patti winamp skin by Wes has been added to the Download Page. [added: 4/16/00]
New information has been added to the official site. Patti has been busy co-writing songs, and will have a duet, "Loser Mentality," with Andy Shernoff on the Dictators' next album. Patti will be on stage along with Sean Altman at The Knitting Factory on April 13. They also wrote a song together titled "The One That Got Away." Noel Cohen and Patti have finished one song, "Late for the Stars" and are currently working on a second. Patti is also working with Adrian Harpham, the drummer on "Between the One and the Nine" and the tour supporting that album. For more complete information, visit the official web site. The new album will be out sometime this summer. It will feature new drawing and paintings from Patti as part of the booklet. [added: 3/30/00]
I have added scans from the new single as well as scans of an illustration by Patti to the picture pages. [added: 2/3]
Patti has a new single out, available only on vinyl. It features two new songs - "For A Boy" and "Idiom Addict" and is sold for $6 (including shipping). For $4 more you can get an inscription and autograph. It can be ordered through the official site [added: 1/6/00].
The latest report puts the new album as finished sometime in September, but out "in the first quarter of the new year." [added: 8/24/99]
Patti and the gang sent out an email with a bit of information (mostly stuff that was already known). You can read it here and check out the picture which was sent along with it. The email mentions a "new website" (perhaps an update of the official site) and a 45 with 2 new songs on it to be available on that site. [added: 7/11/99]
New information has been added to the official site including information on the upcoming album and on a preview vinyl 45. Patti's own words promise that they "will be finishing our recording very soon and [are] looking forward to getting it to you." They have as many as 20 new songs for the album, and a vinyl 45 with three of those songs should be released soon with Patti's own artwork for the sleeve. The site also promises "some fun contests" in the works. [added: 5/6/99]
"The compilation 'Revelations 2000' by Ron English - the incredible visual artist's brainchild features a new song called 'Thin Ice.' Music was co-written by Patti and Freddie to English's thought-provoking poetry. Other artists sharing the CD are Sexpod, Phoebe Legere, Daniel Johnston and a slew of others. This is truly a 'religious' experience." - The Patti Rothberg Home Page [added: 5/6/99]
The official site is now actually up. So far there are articles, downloads, contact information, and new show information. You can also order "Between the One and the Nine;" however, there is no mention about a sampler CD (perhaps the information I received was wrong, or perhaps it just isn't ready yet). [added 3/28/99]
Ebay has another auction of Patti stuff. This time there is a poster and a copy of 'Between the 1 and the 9' up for sale to the highest bidder. [added: 3/10/99]
The official site is up, sort of. The domain name of www.pattirothberg.com has been registered but there isn't an actual site up, yet. [added: 2/20/99]
When the site is up a 3 song CD will apparently be sold off of it. This CD is not the same as the forthcoming album, which is all new material. I'm not sure what this 3 track CD will have on it, but I guess we'll find out. Also, there is going to be a compilation CD out next month that Patti has a song on (sorry, I don't know the name right now). [added: 2/20/99]
I recently talked to Patti's guitarist, Freddie, and apparently they are planning on putting up an official page. It should have updates about the forthcoming album (which is about half recorded) and tour dates. [added: 2/7/99]
On Alison Piptone's new release, titled "Like Being Born," Patti sings backing vocals. Other guest appearances include Mary Ramsey from 10,000 Maniacs on viola. Go here for a review of the album.
In case you weren't paying attention: EMI Records, the company Patti made "Between the One and the Nine" with, closed it's North American offices. This means that Patti no longer has a record contract with them (obviously). Patti is currently working doing a few shows and working on a new album.
