I used to have this car. It was a 1979 Ford Fairmont that my father bought from some guy for $500. It had lots of little quirks, like a completely misaligned frame, a bad stalling problem, a strange shaking that occurred at speeds over 45 mph, and this really pervasive mildew aroma. So I wrote a song about it. I'd been tossing this riff around since the Bush administration, but it wasn't until I learned MIDI that I could actually put in tangible form what I'd been hearing in my head.
And now it's a real funky dance number. |
