new stuff on OpIvy...

um, its hard to write new stuff about a band that broke up more than 10 years ago. hmmm. well, if you don't know about Downfall, they're the band that happened between OpIvy and Rancid, with some members of both. im not exactly sure which ones. theres a comp called "Later, That Same Year" that has a couple Downfall songs on it. That's available through S.P.A.M. Records at http://www.spamrecords.org It was originally put out as a tape with the zine "Absolutely Zippo", but SPAM re-issued it on CD. Its got some other cool stuff from around the same time. Czech it out.

so i got the "unreleased energy" cd, which i waited so long to get in hopes that it was on vinyl out there, somewhere, somehow, but i gave up. what was i thinking?? its fucking bootleg. whatever. i also got the "plea for peace" 7", but it was pretty disappointing because everything on the single is also on the cd. its pretty good- the best songs on it are troubblebound, plea for peace, and hedgecore. but thats just my opinion. if you dont have it ( the unreleased energy cd) yet, i highly recommend it. you can get it from Vital Music Mailorder, and im pretty sure their page is at www.vitalmusic.net or something like that. if that doesnt work, email me and ill look it up. or just do a search (duh). ok. later .

wow. i feel like an asshole. i call this a fuckin update and i havent updated if for, uhhh, i cant even remember. well, sorry for letting you down...hehehe. my thoughts on the band havent changed that much, they still kick ass, but id like to hear more than the 27 *G* songs ive got now. so meanwhile im waiting for $18 to smack me in the face...well actually im gonna get a job really soon. so when i get my hands on one of those really expensive, hard to find order-over-the-internet albums ill write something new and even maybe (gasp) signifigant.
