My name is Greg Jones and I currently live in Kettering, Ohio. I currently
work as a tech support engineer for Easylink services. I am a Cisco Certified Network Associate
(CCNA) and a CompTia Network Plus and A+ certified
computer technician. I'm a christian. I'm married to a wonderful woman by the
name of Angela. I'm a musician, playing three instruments; guitar, piano and
violin. I started piano when I was in the 2nd grade, picked up the violin the
following year, and started guitar when I was fourteen. I'm also the guitarist
for the Collaboration
Element as well as the guitarist for a band called Denizen.
My friend Jason McIntosh and I have formed a Christian progressive rock
instrumental band called "The Collaberation Element". This music features
guitar, synth, bass and drums. We have been playing local shows regularly at the
Gathering Grounds and
Joe's Java House.We have been
performing with a sequenced keyboard which has been covering the synth and bass
parts. The music is some of the best that we've ever written. You can listen to our music by downloading
samples (in both MP3 and Real Audio formats). The cd, entitled "The Science of Music" is due to be released in December of 2001. The Collaboration Element is online at http://www.collaborationelement.com.
Suspended Animation Project
In the early part of 1998, I completed a modest 4-track demo project,
consisting of 8 christian rock songs that I wrote. Click here for more
info.
I've completed a piano instrumental cd. I will use this cd for promotion to
obtain either a record deal or to sell to advertisers, tv or music producers. I
have placed samples of this music on a separate website located at: www.geocities.com/piano_manifest_destiny.
"Behold the Man" Musical
My friend Vince LaMonica, has a musical in which I cowrote the music. We are
at the sequencing stage. The music is wonderful! We hope to have the music
completed by sometime next year.
Most of you probably hit this page because of the music theory so you may be
wondering about my musical credentials. Although I was "classically trained" on
both the piano and violin, (for whatever that's worth) I do not hold any musical
degrees and do not *yet* play professionally. I just like music and have studied
it on my own in my pursuit to become better in order to use it for the glory of
God.
If you remember nothing about me, that's fine as long as you remember what I
have said about Jesus Christ. If you haven't yet read this, I invite you to click here now.
