LIVING WITHOUT YOUR LOVE
by Greg Jones
(Romans 1:28-29; II Timothy 3:1-4)
Living in a cold world
where loneliness abases the soul
Lost on a highway
that takes you where you don't want to go
In perilous times
Where men are lovers of their own selves
Searching for bliss
without you
Living without your love
Living without your love
Decadence reigns
when men neglect the truth of your love
Pontificating
a life of autonomy
Searching in vain
being filled with all unrighteousness
Choosing to live
without you
Living without your love
Living without your love
I don't want to follow
in this herd mentality
Even as they do not retain
God in their knowledge
Living without your love
The sky falls in
Living without your love
The terror begins
Living without your love
Evil reigns
Living without your love
we go insane
Without your love
The world can never be free
Without your love
There's pain and misery
Without your love
I no longer have a life
Without your love
I am left to die
Society's to blame for this losing game
Everyone wants some answers
What would you to obtain the brass ring
Materialism is the cancer
Lofty thoughts the sins of pride
Are everywhere that I see.
All have sinned and fallen short
redemption comes when we sink to our knees
Suicide's refrain
echos in society's conscious
Distance from God
keeps us from the pain of the truth
We're fooling ourselves
Indulging in abstraction
All is in vain
without you
I don't want to follow
in this herd mentality
Even as they do not retain
God in their knowledge
