Holland, or anywhere else! These guys are total brutallions, and their music
makes me want to decapitate innocent bystanders!!! They've truly
become my favorite band, I'd say!!! And, once again they're changing singers after
"Aggressive"...hopefully it'll still sound as

1. "Cross the Styx"-their first release. It's actually pretty good, and very brutal for how old it is! A classic!
   
2. "Diabolical Summoning"-man, this cd is truly awesome, especially for '93!!
   
3. "Hate"-the pinnacle of a terrorizing career, A+ all around and without doubt my favorite album ever!!!
   
4. "Bastard Saints"-Same killer style, true brutality with remake of the song "Cross the Styx" and "Epoch of Denial". Check out the title track!!!
   
5. "Aggressive Measures"-oh, poor me...Mike has left to form another band. But, the new singer is almost as brutal as Mike was, and Bart still rips all ass on guitar. If you like the old stuff, you'll probably like this one.

1. "Considered Dead"-the beginnings of what was to be an awesome band. Excellent!
   
2. "The Erosion of Sanity"-truly evil, great acoustics, and overall one of the best albums ever!!! I've never heard any album this good and this scary! I can't say enough.
   
3. "Obscura"-the more I listen the more I like this. If you're expecting the same style, you'll be disappointed, though. Nowhere near as good as "Erosion," but still chaotic and very talented musicianship!!!
   This is a must hear of "Dormant Misery" from "Erosion"

4. "Once Upon the Cross"-killer musical/vocal work, excellent artwork, and an overall great album!!!
   
5. "Serpents of the Light"-has new guitar sound and actual melody! May rival "Legion" for favorite status!!!
   
6. "When Satan Lives"-recording of the guys live in Chicago. Glen's vocals are actually deep as hell here, as opposed to other live recordings I've heard.

2. "Storm of the Light's Bane"-oh, the glory that some can achieve. This is one of the greatest albums ever made. GET IT, GET IT NOW!!!
   
3. "The Past is Alive"-has some of their older demo tracks and stuff on it. If you like 'em, I'd get it!

4. "The Bleeding"-good, more technical sound, though not as impressive (to me)as T.O.T.M.
   
5. "Vile"-what's wrong with this picture? Oh yeah, Barnes is gone! Still a great album!
   
6. "Gallery of Suicide"-it's not too bad...kind of like "Vile," but the more I listen the more boring it gets.
   
7. "Bloodthirst"-better than "Gallery..." but still too much Corpsegrinder for my tastes. It has some good qualities, I suppose.

are classics! The new stuff, though, is not quite as
good as I'd hoped. "Altars..." is a must have!

1. "The Beginning"-Rare first album, which has been re-released. It's got some early "Altars" tracks, as well as the chance to see Trey & Pete with poofy hair. I knew these guys were cock-rockers at heart!!!
   
2. "Abominations of Desolation"-very rare old stuff...I haven't even seen it.
   
3. "Altars of Madness"-One of the greatest Death metal albums of all time! The whole thing is killer!!!
   
4. "Blessed are the Sick"-A really promising album, showing the early talents of Azagthoth on guitar.
   
5. "Covenant"-Another great album, though it's a stretch from "Altars..." with different style vocals, but still awesome guitar work!
   
6. "Domination"-A big load of poo-poo. It's overall dissapointing, Vincent's gay tendencies beginning to show through.
   
7. "Entangled in Chaos"-EP with remakes of some of their older songs, done with their new vocalist after Mr. LeatherPants.
   
8. "Formulas Fatal to the Flesh"-Better than "Domination," but still dissapointing to old-school MA fans. Pretty much Azagthoth's magnum opus, which is hard to believe listening to the other stuff and all the damn leads he uses!!! Recent news: Trey's "philosophy" has been proven to be a sham by Lord Beliar. It's a long story, but the guy really showed his ignorance, so that even a 19 year-old guy with a pretty good occult/theological/philosophical background saw the problems. Alas, poor me.
   

DIMMU BORGIR-Swedish black metal at its best! You must own a copy of "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant," and their new one is about as good!!! I recommend this "Master of Disharmony" clip from "Enthrone"
OLD MAN'S CHILD-Dear God, some of the best black metal you'll have the luck (or ill-fortune) to hear. If you do nothing else, by "Ill-Natured Spiritual Invasion" ASAP or face the wrath of my disgust! Great stuff, even the new one! Here's "Soul Possessed"
NILE-Oh man, when I say the best U.S. Death Metal in a very long time, I'm not lying. "Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka" gets better every time I listen. And, after seeing the guys twice and hanging with them, not only do they totally pound you to dust, they're nice and friendly afterwards! They rule! Not to let you down, here's an awesome clip from "Barra Edinazzu" off "Amongst..."
CRYPTOPSY-If you've heard their old stuff, prepare to be blown the FUCK away by "Whisper Supremacy." Probably the best album of the year thus far. And of course, here's a clip of "Cold Hate, Warm Blood"

IMMOLATION-Distinct, raw sound that's kick-ass One of the best American death metal bands with insane talent!!! Check out the song "Nailed to Gold"
SAMAEL-"Ceremony of Opposites" is one of the best pieces of work I've ever heard! Plus, Xy is into Crowley stuff, so he gets extra credit (even has a Crowley sample!!!). And here is "Baphomet's Throne"

SATYRICON-A killer, classic Black Metal band. Check out "Rebel Extravaganza" for one of the catchiest, most interesting black metal releases in a long time!
PESSIMIST-Insane "Dungeone Metal" band from Maryland! Very techinical and impressive for a first release
MALEVOLENT CREATION-A breeding ground for other metal bands. Their last album is killer, but the new one with Brett back on vocals is kind of a stinker.
