The date is 23 June. The show starts at 20.00. We will play at around 21.00 and the evening will be opened by Anomaly, another Bee & Bee signed band. Their stuff is entirely instrumental and very technical, a bit like Dream Theater. By the way, tickets cost fl. 17,50 and are available at the Stadsschouwburg in Sittard (the location), phone number: 046-4524400".

More reviews have come in for Alan's latest CD DARK MATTER. And both are pretty favorable, too. One is from The Dutch Progressive Rock Page (www.dprp.vuurwerk.nl) and the other is from a Dutch AOR site, Strutter (www.anglefire.com/strutteraol).

To check them out, please look in the REVIEWS section. Also note that the WIDE AWAKE reviews can still be seen. Just click the Wide Awake album cover on the main page.

DARK MATTER just received its first review by Progressive World's (www.progressiveworld.net) John Bollenberg. Reviews of Alan's latest CD also appears in various other progressive web sites and magazines including the latest issue of Progression Magazine, which is out now.

Here's a sample of Progressive World's review:

"A new title, a new sleeve and hopefully a brand new start for Case whom with Dark Matter delivers one of the best albums ever in Holland's history of pop music. Opening track "I Wonder Why" is a completely new song and boy what a song! Raymond Hallatu's voice really is world class and fits neatly into the mix of the song. I can't understand why Ton Scherpenzeel auditioned this guy for his new Kayak project but in the end let the guy go!? Raymond: do hang out with Alan Case for a very long time and lend your voice to his great compositions. You are a remarkable team and the synergy between the two of you can be felt by us, the listener..."

Well, things are definately moving! The World Wide Awake now has a new look for easier web browsing. Also Bee & Bee should be gearing up for Alan's new album DARK MATTER. November is still the month that it'll be released. When more information is forthcoming, it'll be posted here on this site.

September 1, 1999

Alan Case has completed recording the last of his new songs that will be in his debut European release on Dutch label Bee & Bee Records. The album will be called "Dark Matter".

At the moment, Alan is nearing the final stages of remastering and editing the songs, which will mainly come from his 1997 Japanese release "Wide Awake". Along with some new songs, Alan has added new instruments into the mix, including drums and violin to give the album a less mechanical and more organic feel. Nevertheless, keyboards will dominate his work on the album.

Bee & Bee Records should receive the final master by the end of September. According to Alan, November is still the likely date when Bee & Bee will release "Dark Matter".

August 2, 1999

A new sound file has been added to this web site. "Nightlife", which was written with his previous band Mystix, will be one of the new songs to appear on his first European release DARK MATTER. The sound file is in the WAV format and is from a demo copy. Some sound degredation may be apparent.

On his new album, Alan has utilized even more session musicians for his album. And he has also added drums and violin to the number of instruments that will be on the album to date. No further details on studio work and/or the record label. However all indications appear to be good for Bee & Bee Records releasing the album on schedule.

Stay tuned for further details!

The Europian release of the album "Dark Matters" will take place November this year. Next to the famous songs of the "Wide Awake" album, there will be 3 new songs.

Right now I can't give you any information about the contract, the only thing I can tell you is that Bee & Bee Records will do everything to make this coming album worldwide known. Alan is a great artist and erudite man. This man deserves it.
