Welcome to my humble tribute to the King!

I have been a huge Beatles since my teens. As soon as I began collecting bootlegs, I became afraid of ever getting into Elvis Presley. I wondered how many different recordings an Elvis collector had to go looking for.

But I was always fascinating by him, so in late 1992 I bought a small magazine, "Vamos dar uma festa"(Let's have aparty), which gaveme full information on Elvis career, including I was particullary fascinated by the fact that Elvis full 50s catalog had been released on a 5 CD box and I got thrilled, really thrilled when I heard about the comeback special.

You can just imagine my surprise when I saw "The king of rock'n'roll - the complete 50's masters" on a store one day! My dad had just given me a check, so I found that was a very good reason to finally use it. So I brought thatbeautiful black box home and kept listening to it over and over and over again.

Just a few weeks later, on my 18th birthday, my father gave the 60s box and once again I went mad.

A few months later, just when I got my first payment on my first job ever, I saw the "68 Comeback Special" VHS on a store and I just couldn't believe!

And that's how I started loving Elvis. At first there's so many CDS to know, so I figured getting the offical stuff would be already an adventure, but my fears proved tobe true and I eventually started collecting a few bootlegs.

And that's where I am as I put this site online. My goal is to catalog all my CDs with all different versions of each track, so I can guide myself into collecting Elvis better. Unfortunatelly I have limted resoruce$, so I'm hoping this will allow me to get the most Elvis I can.

I should add that collecting Elvis in Brazil is no easy task. Most of the CDs and videos aren't even realesed here, or are only sold as very expensive import prices. After internet and a few years of getting to know the right place, things began to get easier (but not cheaper...), but still there's a lot of hard to get material. Unfortunatelly, for cultural reasons many Brazilian collectores prefer not to get in touch with people like me, so they can keep all precious info for themselves, whatever advantadge that might bring them. Also, being only 2 years old when Elvis left our building didn't help me to see thing while they were going on. This is the sad thing: because of all this, loving Elvis had always been a lonely adventure for me.

But I hope this website will help me to get in touch with other fans like you and I'll finally be able to share this love.

You'll find a complete CD index of my collection and a complete song index. On each song's page you'll be able to compare the avaiable versions, know exactly which recording is on each CD. Every information here has been carefully analised. It'sbased on many hours of best Elvis reading and in my own warm dedication to the King. If in any case there's doubt about anything, it will be indicated. Hopefully, this will be useful for you too.
