Lyrics

This Way is from the days when Room 212 in another form was known as "Allergic." The song was written during a jam with the Univ. of Wyoming Centennial Singers' Band. Jason Kirk (Lanning), the singer for Allergic wrote the lyrics. We put the song on this album because it seemed to fit with the existential mood of the album, and we think we rock it harder than the Jason Kirk Band version.

This Way

Down and out good ideas all out I'm around on the ground
found a way not to be this way goin down gonna drown
layin low cuz you'll never know way you'll be soon you'll see
deperate eyes and there's no surprise way to be look at me

came so close to happiness
it always slips away
and I am doing my very best
not to be this way

the way I feel is a real big deal not to you no can do
never content with the place I'm at never right it's alright
can't improve have too much to lose can't comply wonder why
sit and judge what I'm made of go ahead right ahead

chorus

vacant love I'm a victim of my own pride thought it died
can't go on like nothin's wrong take their side ride their ride
but deep down there's an inner frown deep within under skin
do the deed but they're never real hard at core what's that for

chorus
