NEWSLETTER #2, MARCH, 1995

Hey Devilheads!
It's been a while since our last newsletter & there's lots of news to catch up on, so let's do it...

The boys finished their We Like You video back in February and released the single on Feb. 21st, so call your local rock stations and request Devilhead to get it on rotation. The video won’t be on MTV for awhile so sit tight.

Brian’s charges of malicious conduct were dropped after a battle in the courts which kept the boys legally bound to stay in Washington. Brian’s ordeal ended in Feb. with a $150 replacement fee for the burnt can, and the chance to go on tour. So here it is...as of March 30th the boys were asked to tour with EXTREME. The dates & clubs are as follows:

April 10 Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver BC
11 Under the Rail, Seattle, WA
12 Roseland Theater, Portland, OR
14 Fillmore Auditorium, San Francisco, CA
15 Crest Theatre, Sacramento, CA
17 Catalyst, Santa Cruz, CA
18 Huntridge Theater, Las Vegas, NV
20 The Palace, Hollywood, CA
21 Soma, San Diego, CA
22 Electric Ballroom, Tempe, AZ
23 Zippers, Albuquerque, NM
25 Back-Room, Austin, TX

As of April 1 Devilhead has the option of continuing on w/ Extreme or returning to California for a coastal tour with PILOT, a new band out of Portland. They are still undecided... if they choose to continue on with extreme, these are the remaining dates, clubs, and cities:

April 26 City Limits, Dallas, TX
28 LeSamana Alagre, San Antonio, TX
29 Hurricane Alley, Houston, TX
May 02 The Wet Bar, Shreveport, LS
03 Blues Rock Performance Hall, Little Rock, AR

Oklahoma City, OK Kansas City, KS, and St. Louis, MO are also tentatively scheduled. If they choose to follow Pilot back home to the Northwest, a list of dates will be sent to our west coast fans.

Other News... check out the special edition We Like You T-shirts. All fan club members get a 10% discount. There’s also a new Deviled Ham T and Loosegroove T’s are available through mail order.

The boys are already in the studio laying tracks for their second album. Nine songs have been mixed and more studio time is scheduled for the end of May. Everyone is really excited about the new album. The band has been together for a solid year now and the sound that has grown with them is explosive. So watch out and hang on tight because this next disc kicks ass!

Along with recording the album, Devilhead was asked to cut a track for the new Crow II movie. Other bands rumored to be on the soundtrack are Nine Inch Nails {called Six Inch Nails in the actual newsletter printing}, and Rollins Band. And what about “Too Much Protection” on Party of Five - watch those reruns to catch Devilhead playing on the jeep radio.

A lot of folks have been asking about the Malfunkshun CD. Loosegroove pushed back the release date to April so keep your fingers crossed and your eyes open.

Tour dates for the east coast are still in the works. We’ll let all our east coast fans know as soon as we do. And that’s the groove from here. Keep in touch and we’ll do the same.

Til next time...
