MARK ON JAPAN: "At first the fans are quite shy there. I think that's because the man is seen as the more dominant figure in their society while the woman holds back. I see Valentine's Day as a chance for the guy to give the woman flowers. That's the way I view it. But in Japan, it's totally the opposite. The guy doesn't get the woman anything, but the woman gets the guy chocolates and flowers."

MARK ON FOOD: "The lads, especially J, are always on at me for not eating enough. If I leave even a few chips on my plate, Jason's starting at it going, "C'mon Marky, you can manage those few!" It's not that I don't like eating, but sometimes I forget, and when I do eat, I get full up quickly. I'm only little!"

MARK ON BEING IN TAKE THAT: "I definitely think if I had to choose all over again, I would do this again. But only if it was with the same people. I couldn't do it with different people. It would have to be us five."

MARK ON MARRIAGE: "I want to get married one day. I don't really have any great ambitions. This is my ambition come true - being in Take That. I know it'll be a long time before I get married, but when I do, my idea of pure bliss is just to have a nice little house, a wife, and a dog."

MARK ON HIS CHILDHOOD: "I remember on my fourth birthday I was smacked and sent to bed because I thought I could get away with anything! I also got told off all the time for playing football in the house. I broke two windows in one day once. Just as they were fixing the one at the front of the house, I broke the one at the back of the house!"
