Here is an interview with MIA Recording artist OPPRESSOR. This band is a pretty straight forward and extreme Death Metal band that played down in Houston some time back. Here is a very small interview with guitarist Adam Zadel. There were more questions and answers but I accidentally recorded over part of this interview.

VOID OF TOLERANCE - So, how long have you been out on the road?
OPPRESSOR - This is our second show so far. CANNIBAL has been at it for a while now and we just got on last night in New Orleans. We have like five weeks to go. Last nights show there wasn’t a shit load of people but it was a decent show.

VOT - Tell me about getting in contact with Martti and MIA Records.
OPRRESSOR - We knew Martti from a long time ago, he use to be from Elgin, which is right close to us in Chicago. We knew him when he was putting out records on Olympic Records like AFTERLIFE, MORGUE, and all that shit. We were already on a record label at that time and on another one later, but we stayed in contact with him. This time around we had the record already finished and Martti wanted to do it and he had the best deal, so we went with him.

VOT - So how has response been to this latest album, “ .”?
OPPRESSOR - It’s been really good actually. I like the album a lot. Publicity seems to like it a lot also. I’m not gonna go and say it’s the best shit ever, but I do like it a lot.

VOT - So how would you say this release differs from previous releases?
OPPRESSOR - It’s just a more mature album. We’re coming off the technicality binge or trying blow every body away and just get down to writing basically more heavy brutal ass music.

VOT - Ok, you guys put out a live CD that you recorded on your European tour last Summer, how did that turn out?
OPPRESSOR - The tour was kick ass, it was with MALEVOLENT CREATION and VADER. It was the first time we ever went to Europe, so it was really good. The crowds were good and we got a good response over there. We didn’t really have good label support at the time but now we do with Die Hard overseas.

VOT - After this tour and all that what plans do you have?
OPPRESSOR - Hopefully we’ll be going back to Europe back in Spring, then the Summer doing the U.S. again, and hopefully in late Summer be going back to Europe. Then in the Winter we’ll start blasting out another album.

VOT - So what are some future plans for OPPRESSOR?
OPPRESSOR - Just to fucking stomp some balls!

VOT - I guess that will be it, just something quick for a future issue, anything else.
OPPRESSOR - Just stay brutal and fucking have fun.
