Michelle (Lennon/McCartney) The Beatles Rubber Soul (1965) Okay, I've been putting this one off for awhile because it's so hard to describe one of the chords in the song! To tell you the truth I don't even know what it's called. So I'm gonna call it GOO. Yup GOO. Why? 'Cause I'm strange. Here it is: GOO -1- -0- Really cool, really easy. I don't understand it, but I like it. -1- -0- --- --- It also sounds cool slightly different: -1- -0- I play it both ways, hammering the bottom D to match the melody. -1- -0- --- --- Before anyone get upset, let me just say, yes I do think this song is capoed somewhere, probably at the 8th fret in A/Am (The song switches between major and minor). At the end of the song you can hear exactly how it's played. But by itself, this sounds hollow and boring, so I don't play it that way. If I get enough demand for the "real" capoed version, I might post it too, but for now I'm leaving it in open position, in F. This allows one guitar to do a pretty convincing job. There are some riffs under there too, but unless your, capoed, they're a little "bastardized," so, with exception to the first riff, I'm ignoring them for now. Bass isn't my instrument either, so I'd risk putting something awkward up if I tried to figure out the bass solo. So sorry, no go there. No I don't speak French either, but that line means "These are words that go together well." If any French speakers have corrections, let me know. I apologize for all the problems in this post. Please don't flame me for this! I do this for free ya know! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intro: |----8-----8-----8-----8-----8---6---4---3--/8--8--/8--| |----9-----9-----9-----9-----9---8---6---5--/8--8--/8--| |-10----9-----8-----7-----6----------------------------| |------------------------------------------------------| Yes, you have to do some finger juggling to do this. |------------------------------------------------------| |------------------------------------------------------| F Bbm7 Eb Michelle, ma belle, these are words that GOO C GOO C Go together well, my Michelle.
